Guillaume Sarkozy, Delegate General of Malakoff Médéric, has never been mystery of its ambitions. It has therefore turned the group, born just a year ago from the merger of Malakoff Médéric, to accompany the deep transformations of the system of social protection which will undoubtedly occur in the future more or less close. "The renewal of social protection is necessary, because it is much too complex, disconnected from the real needs of people and subject to the financial constraints that are known", summarizes Guillaume Sarkozy.

Without delay, the first joint group of social protection has embarked on a profound transformation of its business site, knowing that it is mainly in the competitive field that things are going to play. In supplementary pension Agirc-Arrco, where Malakoff Médéric is number one with 8.9 billion euros of contributions, the priority is the improvement of management costs, area in which the Group wants to be "the best".

Initiatives, investments, partnerships: health insurance, the strategy is more offensive, and Malakoff Médéric develops full-blown. Convinced that the boundaries between collective insurance of enterprises and individual insurance go to blur, the Group position on the market of "surcomplémentaires" products and adapt its distribution network. Five shops in the Malakoff Médéric sign will soon be test, the idea being to have by 2012 of hundreds of outlets to better reach the general public.

Malakoff Médéric means at the same time "take a step important early 2010" to respond to the lack of legibility of pension rights. This could go, told by the materialization of the idea of "social passport", which would also solve the problem of the discontinuity of the guarantees.

The decline of 59 of the net result last year, 117 million, due to a prudent provisioning policy and processing costs, is therefore not considered problematic.
