The first game will be played at Madison Square Garden then Thursday night they play at Nassau Coliseum. The Islanders have been a pleasant surprise this season. With the emergence of young talent and solid goaltending by Dwayne Roloson they have managed to be tied for 3rd in the Atlantic as well as a 5 way tie for 10th in the Eastern Conference. The biggest problem for the Islanders is goaltender Martin Biron who has been horrible this season Biron has a record of 2-9-2 with a 3.33 GAA Without Biron in net the Islanders are 10-5-2. Once Rick Dipietro comes back, which he may be back by Christmas, I see the Islanders putting their goaltending trouble behind them. The Rangers have been a downward spiral since their 7-3 loss on October 19th to the San Jose Sharks Since that night the Rangers have gone 7-14-3.
The goal scoring burden lays on the shoulders of Marian Gaborik and he has answered the call, Gaborik has 23 goals in the 30 games he has played this year After Gaborik there is not much support. The next closest goal scorer to Gaborik is Ryan Callahan who has a measly 7 goals. The Rangers 2 overpaid defenseman in Rozsival and Redden, who combine for $11.5 million dollars, have 13 points combined. The Rangers are in disarray which has caused fans to call for John Tortorella’s firing as well as Sather getting the boot. What the Rangers decide to do is up in the air but this team is spiraling quickly. To read the rest of this article, click here.. New Orleans Saints receiver Lance Moore had a breakout season last year when he led the team with 79 catches, 928 yards, and 10 touchdowns. And nowThe Saints may not have a spot for him on the active game day roster.Moore has played in just six games this season. He had offseason shoulder surgery and has also suffered through ankle and hamstring injuries.Even though it appears as if he is now healthy enough to return, he may not be in that number when the Saints go marching into the Superdome Saturday against the Dallas Cowboys. While Moore is on the Saints' 53-man roster, teams are only allowed to dress 45 players for a game (46, counting the emergency quarterback). At this point of the season, I can't imagine Moore jumping ahead of any of the Saints' top three receivers.Marques Colston, Robert Meachem, and Devery Henderson have all been huge contributors this year.Courtney Roby, currently the Saints' fourth receiver, is one of the top kickoff returners in the NFL.

No way Roby loses that job.Other than as a backup punt returner, Moore has no value on special teams. Not only does Roby return kicks well, but he also has 10 special teams tackles. The Saints also have quality receivers at tight end and running back.Tight ends Jeremy Shockey and David Thomas and running backs Pierre Thomas and Reggie Bush each have been an integral part of the Saints' passing attack. There is no use for a fifth active wide receiver for this offense. With the way New Orleans' defenders have been dropping like flies, it is important to have as many quality defenders on hand as possible.New Orleans had nine defenders listed on the injured list last week and have six more on injured reserve. An extra defensive lineman that also plays special teams (such as Jeff Charleston) is far more valuable than a wide receiver that may catch two passes, especially when the Saints are having an increasingly difficult time putting pressure on the quarterback. With all the talent at wide receiver and the Saints' need for healthy bodies on defense, it looks like Lance Moore is going to get lost in a numbers crunch.. If there was any doubt about who the best player on the floor for the Duke Blue Devils is, Tuesday night quickly resolved those questions.Jon Scheyer had a career night in multiple categories, including scoring, assists, and rebounds in that game.In fact, there wasn't much that Scheyer didn't do well. Which begs the question: Is he really the best player on the teamThe simple answer is yes.
While he isn't the most athletic, and doesn't have the upward mobility of a guy like Kyle Singler, Scheyer simply has become the best all-around ball player on the Duke team.He came into college a known scorer, but not highly touted for many of the same reasons listed above. He can't jump out of the gym and is a fringe NBA prospect at best. But as far as the college game goes he is certainly not only the best for the Blue Devils but one of the best in the entire nation.Scheyer is use to being underestimated. While on the AAU circuit, his athleticism or lack there of was often brought into question. He was told he couldn't compete with the stronger more skilled players. There was also the old "he is white so he can't play" argument, too. Scheyer time and time again has proven the naysayers wrong. While he still isn't the strongest, most athletic guy in the country, he has that desire which often times helps compensate for other areas. I've seen a lot of guys with all the talent in the world and no desire who amount to nothing.Scheyer exudes that passion and desire that is needed to be successful.
